Don't believe the movies—most criminals aren't geniuses at all. Of course, there are some characters who deliberately systematically violate the law, earn millions and remain at large. But these are only exceptions — most often people go to the stupidest crimes, and they are immediately arrested.

Today we remember with warmth those jerks who wanted the best, but it turned out as always in this unfair real world.

In tenth place is not very smart Nicholas Grove. He escaped from a state prison in Idaho (USA) by making a tunnel under the enclosing wall. He might still be on the run if it weren't for the curse of social media. Facebook Instagram Grove not only posted the photo, but also posted about his escape on Facebook. He was arrested in a recreation area in Mexico in November 2015.

Thirty-year-old Adam Hirtle from Colorado was arrested for improper handling of a weapon after he shot himself in the leg to understand how the person who is being shot feels. The police were called by neighbors who heard a shot from Hirtle's garage.

What could be better than a day on the beach that you meet drunk? Robert Sweeney was arrested for loitering on a Florida beach in a white jacket, white shirt and white shoes, but without underwear and pants, dead drunk. When he was detained, he asked: "What's wrong? I'm going on business, looking for my pants."

American April Lee Yates left without paying her $26 bill at a fish restaurant in Myrtle Beach (South Carolina). She refused to pay for dinner, saying that she had no money and Jesus would pay for her. Nice try, but no.

Maybe it's all meth, or maybe Sparlock is just a dumbass.
