Being in prison, he wrote his Manifesto-autobiography Mein Kampf ("My struggle") and was preparing to seize power in Germany.
One talent was Hitler's public speaking skills. He developed his method of public speaking in beer: his rant started out pretty cool, but as listeners become more active and drunk, he theatre increased its hypnotic effect on the audience.
For Hitler, this ability was not innate. He is extremely ashamed of his appearance and wanted to make sure that its visual impact is as convincing as the words. Therefore, the future Fuhrer asked his personal photographer Heinrich Hoffmann to shoot the rehearsals of upcoming performances. He wanted to try a variety of gestures and expressions, then, viewing the photos highlight the best and the worst of them.
Although Hitler ordered Hoffmann to destroy these pictures, the photographer kept them in his Studio. He later published photos in her memoir "Hitler was my friend".
