Nicole Kidman as you've never seen her before! Actress, 56, shows off her physique in racy black lingerie as she poses for incredible Vogue shots

Nicole Kidman posed in racy black lingerie for incredible Vogue Australia shots on Thursday. 

The actress, 56, - who recently said she 'feels sexier than ever' - put on a confident display for the striking photoshoot.

For one shot she opted for a lace bodysuit with long sleeves and corset detailing that was teamed with a garter belt.

She had a blonde bombshell blowout and sported a glamorous covering of makeup with a smokey eye to add to the different look. 

Another shot saw her slip into a strappy bralette and tight nude skirt that showed off her incredible and youthful physique.

The Australian star fronted the fashion bible's February issue in a racy editorial photographed by Steven Klein, and wearing nothing but sheer lace lingerie and a black snake wrapped around her shoulders for the cover shot.

Looking every inch the Hollywood rock star, Nicole completed her edgy ensemble with a pair of red-frame sunglasses, chunky diamond rings, and a Gothic black-tipped manicure.  

She also wore her blonde hair out in loose waves and painted her lips with a clear gloss while pulling a bold, open-mouthed pose. 

Her wild editorial photoshoot was accompanied by an equally surprising interview in which she recalled her raucous teenage years. 

The mother-of-two told the magazine in the accompanying interview that she remembers sneaking into nightclubs in her youth.

'I was thrust into [the adult world] all at a very early age. But I wasn't destroyed by it either,' the Moulin Rouge! star said. 

Nicole explained her mother Janelle never discouraged her from 'exploring and trying things', but always cautioned her not to lose her head. 

Nicole also recalled getting dragged out of nightclubs by her late father Antony in the wee hours.

'People would be like, "Who's that?" And it would be my father showing up to drag me home,' she mused. 

'I'm grateful for that now. There were always those two things happening, where I was like, "I wanna be wild!" And then I would have a strong family and a nourishing home. I probably still have those two parts to my personality.' 

It comes weeks after a source close to Nicole told DailyMail.com: 'Nicole feels sexier than ever being over 50 and showing skin - and her true fans applaud her for it.'

'Nicole knows what people are saying and she is going to continue to push the boundaries with her outfit choices because she believes it is important for women to be proud of their bodies,' the insider said. 

The source said Nicole - who is married to singer Keith Urban and mother of teenage twins Sunday and Faith, 15 and 13 - is 'completely unapologetic for anything that she wears and laughs at any criticism that she may get over her daring choices.'

'She is redefining the definition of what beauty is and showing that you don't have to be 20 to be sexy. 

'Nicole knows who she is and she knows that she is healthy, fit, and happy', they added.

It comes after last week she turned heads at a red carpet event in New York.

Nicole showed off her incredible figure in a racy backless black gown by Atelier Versace while attending the New York premiere of her new Amazon Prime Video series Expats on Sunday evening.

The dress was a throwback to a look that the Australian actress rocked on the red carpet 20 years before, at the 18th annual American Cinematheque tribute held in her honor.

Nicole's latest look featured a cowl neck design on the bodice and a high split in the skirt, showcasing her incredibly trim body.

She let her dress do the talking by accessorizing with elegant but simple drop diamond earrings, a matching diamond bracelet and ring, and a watch. 

She wore her hair down this time and opted for a copper-toned eyeshadow palette and a rosy lip for makeup.

After her New York premiere over the weekend, social media marveled at her ageless appearance.

'As she's getting older I'm liking here more and more,' wrote one commenter on Facebook. 

'Beautiful dress and she looks fabulous,' wrote another.

Nicole recently opened up about her experiences navigating Hollywood as a woman in her fifties.

The star told Stellar's Something To Talk About podcast that after kicking up a stir with her controversial 2022 Vanity Fair micro skirt photoshoot, she's never let what other people think hold her back.

'I make the most random, crazy choices. I call it 'teenage choices' because I don't ever think of the consequences,' she admitted.

'I just try to keep in that place, because otherwise, I think you get scared or worried about what people think,' she added.

'In terms of people's reactions, I say don't tell me. I don't want to know. It'll stop me from doing what I want to do.'
