Ozaki is among the growing number of Japanese men who abandon women and live with sex dolls. He himself says that the usual relationship between a man and a woman is no longer suitable for him. "Japanese women are callous and heartless. They are selfish. Men need someone who will listen to them without grumbling when they come home from work."

"No matter what problems I care about, Maya is always waiting for me. I love her and I want to be with her forever. I want to be buried with her."

About two thousand realistic dolls for adults are sold in Japan every year. They cost from 6 thousand dollars and have bending fingers, removable heads and genitals.

The industry has come a long way from the intimidating look of inflatable dolls of the 70s. Today they look incredibly realistic, and their skin feels like real.

Masayuki Ozaki admits that, although he and Maya do not have a dialogue as such, he still believes that this is true love. "I don't want to destroy what we have with her. I will never cheat on her, even with a prostitute, because for me she is a person."

In Japan, they are trying to fight the falling birth rate, and the increasing number of men who have abandoned traditional love and prefer a quiet and effortless life (they are called "herbivores"), only complicates the demographic problem.
