Orangutan lying in a box in almost mummified condition and showed no signs of life. And just three months later, Gito first met another rescued baby orangutan — with Asoka — and, without hesitation, began to kiss it, to melt the hearts of all who had the opportunity to see it.
Play with me! Gito determined to become better acquainted, and Ahsoka is a little bit nervous.
A little rest, relax...
And here it is — the first timid kiss!
Rescuers found Gito in just terrible condition — animal thrown in a dirty box and left to die.
Little orangutan has suffered from dehydration, fever and diarrhea. His hands and feet numb, body hair, almost not there, and the skin was struck by a serious infection, gave him unimaginable discomfort.
Despite the age of 3-4 months, he was so small and weak that it could not even to sit independently. I can only imagine how much suffering I had to endure this little creature in his short life.
Guiteau was immediately sent to hospital for emergency treatment. The vets gave him fluids and rubbed his painful and itchy skin coconut oil to relieve suffering.
But after two months the international animal rescue service has published photographs in which Guiteau is noticeable on the mend. His skin was much smoother, and despite the fact that while it is less hairy than the orangutans befitting his age, he is on his way to recovery.
Gito now looks healthy and happy and he even grew two front teeth.
