28-year-old Finnish artist Jirka Vince Jonathan Vätäinen grew up with Disney and his characters have become his endless source of inspiration. For the past two years, Jirka has been creating her portraits and the images look incredibly lifelike.

“Back in 2011, I just happened to think that I would challenge myself and do a little Photoshop work to see how Ursula's character from The Little Mermaid might look like in real life,” the artist said. "As I grew up with a lot of these characters, the feeling of nostalgia made the process a fun and fun personal project."

“I was inspired by the idea to reimagine these characters that we all know and love so that I can show how they would look if they were more real.”

The artist said that he often has a pretty clear idea of how the character should look in real life, but creating their portraits can be a process of trial and error.
