Konstantin Stupin: the legend of Russian rock, which we don't deserve

Legends are different – some say on every corner, copy wherever possible and make movies. Others pass us by unnoticed and overshadow the world with its light too late when the door closed behind them. In life we do not understand them, not appreciated or rather didn't deserve it. Exactly what can you say about the great Russian rock musician Konstantin Stupino, who left us in 2017.

Poet, composer and musician Konstantin Stupin died four years ago, in March 2017, did not live a few months to 45 years. When the life of him knew only the most devoted fans of Russian rock, the present, and not refined.

Born Konstantin V. Stupin in Volgograd, but almost his whole life was spent in the eagle city, which the musician believed her. His family was not as simple as you might think – grandfather of Constantine was a Hero of the Soviet Union, and his father – a military pilot. Stupin, Sr. died when the coast was only 10 years old.

The first group Stupin friends organized in the late 80's, while still in high school, she received the provocative title "the Night stick." The initiates knew that this euphemism means penis, but for most it was nothing more than another kitschy name of a rock band, which at that time had a lot.

We already know that all the natives of the festival achieved fame in one way or another and they can be considered successful rock groups. But Stupina had his way and instead to develop his talent, he burst into flames. The first big and, probably, the main error in the musician's life become drugs. In the mid‑90s they Stupin got my first period.

Then there were other convictions – Konstantin caught in the thefts, since they had no means of livelihood, and the music is not perceived as a way of earning. During periods free life Stupin wrote music and lyrics, sang for friends, drinking, and shooting. Only in places of deprivation of liberty, the musician spent 9 years. In the conclusion he fell ill with tuberculosis and several other serious diseases, which, together with drug and alcohol addiction and ruined it.

In 2013, a few years before the death of Constantine changed. After one of his release, he met good people who helped him turn his life around and record old and new songs. Producers Denis Greeks, Kirill Nenashev and the leader of the group "Granite hall" Yuriy Karpikov helped Stupino be realized. With their help, Konstantin, for the first time in many years, was able to give several concerts in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Stupin wanted to revive the "Night stick", but it didn't work out. Then he focused on his solo career and began working literally wear. For 2017 the guys had a lot of projects and it started fine, but the death is not considered the plans of men and 16 March Konstantin Stupin died. Denis Grekov said in an interview with this:

The musician was in a hurry – he's lost too much time doing minor. He was in a hurry to do, but this was not. On a quiet departure of Konstantin Stupin, who for many years worked and lived quietly, as if in another dimension, alerted even the state media.
