Khabib Nurmagomedov vigilantly protects his personal life from prying eyes. It is known that the famous athlete is married and his wife gave him two children. On the web, you can find only one photo of Habib with his chosen one — from the wedding, but the bride's face is securely covered on it. And yet the journalists managed to learn something about the family life of the champion.

Khabib Nurmagomedov's wife's name is Patimat and she was born and raised in the village of Sildi, Tsumadinsky district, the same place as the UFC star. Moreover, they have known each other since childhood, studied at the same school and Patimat was the first love of the future champion.

But there was a period when fate separated Habib and Patimat. When the boy was in elementary school, his family moved to Kirovaul, in the Kizilyurt district. Despite the separation, Habib continued to think about the girl all the time and when he grew up, he began to come to his native village to see her.

When Nurmagomedov turned 22, he sent his father to woo Patimat's parents. The girl's family approved the marriage and in 2013 a real Caucasian wedding took place, with many guests and ancient mountain rituals. They say that everyone who wanted to could come to the holiday — they rented a room for 1200 seats for the feast.

The wedding lasted more than one day, but not a single guest saw the bride's face. In the families of Habiba and Patimat, traditions are sacredly honored and a thick veil covered the bride's face all the time.

Khabib's father said so in an interview with journalists who were very interested in the girl's appearance. The rude Conor McGregor once joked about the bride's closed face, saying that the Dagestani athlete was married to a towel. "You are mistaken if you think that you can insult someone else's religion and stay safe," Habib replied with dignity.

Now Habib and Patimat are raising two children — four-year-old Fatima and two-year-old Magomed. On the day of the triumph in Abu Dhabi, when Khabib defended his title and defeated American Dustin Porrier, there was another joy in the champion's family - his wife announced that she was expecting a child again.

Nurmagomedov has a rule — he never takes his wife to fights with him. Khabib believes that this will interfere with him — he is a supporter of the fact that the family should wait for the fighter at home, and not travel around the world with him. In general, the fighter does not flaunt his personal life and in the interview only slightly touches on family affairs.
