As a result, lucky treasure hunters found an ancient treasure near the bar.
Treasure hunters from the English county of Suffolk found an ancient treasure near The Lindsey Rose bar. This is reported by the local newspaper East Anglian Daily Times.
40-year-old Luke Mahoney and two of his friends examined the area near the bar with a metal detector with the permission of the owners of the establishment. They started searching for the treasure on the morning of July 26.
Treasure hunters combed the area of the bar for three days, and at night guarded the territory from other treasure hunters.
Mahoney has been searching for antique coins for more than 10 years. He even works in a metal detector shop. The man made such a big find for the first time.
As a result, the friends managed to dig up 1061 silver coins minted in the XV-XVII centuries.
