American Susan Schofield has become famous all over the world, but, unfortunately, not in the best light. The woman has been treating her children with neuroleptics for many years, and also ran a YouTube channel where she posted intimate details of their lives.

For a long time she managed to maintain the reputation of a caring mother, but in 2019, the guardianship authorities took her children away from her and placed them in a shelter. You can learn more about the history of the Schofield family in our material.

In 2009, the Schofield family first appeared on television in the Oprah show. Then Susan and Michael publicly stated that they were raising children with schizophrenia and talked about the difficulties associated with it. In 2008, the parents found out that their daughter Jani (short for January) has schizophrenia. During the program, she showed the audience some strange drawings, and also told about the "heroes" of her hallucinations — cats nicknamed Sycamore and 400, and a girl named 24 hours.

Soon various media began to write about the history of the Schofield family, and in 2010 a documentary program called "Born Schizophrenic" ("Born with schizophrenia") was even released on the Discovery channel.

Michael and Susan Schofield increasingly began to appear on TV. In 2013, they were invited to a talk show by clinical psychologist Dr. Phil. During the broadcast, their daughter Jani behaved generally hyperactive and told the public about her fictional world.

Around the same period, parents noticed similar symptoms in their youngest child, their son Body (Bhodi). An examination by several doctors showed that the boy had autism, but Susan insisted that he had schizophrenia and treated him accordingly.

When interest in their family subsided, the woman started a YouTube channel, where she began to share moments from her life and progress in the treatment of children. As she herself claimed, the purpose of creating the channel was to teach something to people with similar problems.

However, each time her videos became more intimate. Susan filmed her children in the shower, showed how her son relieves himself, recorded her daughter's tantrums on video… And subscribers of her channel soon began to doubt the adequacy of the woman herself.

In 2015, Susan's husband left her, and she published the book "Born Schizophrenic: A Mother's Search for Her Family's Sanity" ("Born with schizophrenia: A mother's Search for the mental health of her family").

After the divorce, her videos became even more explicit. Then users created a channel with revelations of Schofields, called The Schofield Lie (Schofield's Lie). Later, they were joined by users of the Kiwi Farms forum dedicated to Internet celebrities. So a thread against Susan Schofield's treatment methods appeared on the site.

Soon a similar topic appeared on Reddit. Users began to notice that the condition of Susan's children was getting worse every year. And according to most of them, the mother herself is to blame for this.

On the air of one of the programs, Susan's ex-husband Michael made a speech. He admitted that he did not agree with the methods of treatment of his ex-wife. He also said that she took Bobi to 50 doctors and none of them diagnosed him with schizophrenia. However, the woman did not agree with the conclusions of the doctors and continued to treat the boy with neuroleptics.

And from them, as you know, patients can develop lethargy, a tendency to seizures and convulsions — these are the symptoms that were seen in her son, judging by the video.

Also, Internet users noticed that each time the dosage of drugs in both Bodi and Jani increased greatly. In addition, in the video they managed to see that the woman "treats" the girl with clozapine, a strong antipsychotic drug that is prescribed to schizophrenics only if other means do not help.

Michael Schofield added fuel to the fire. He openly stated that his wife exploits children and created a YouTube channel only for the sake of PR and profit.

Given all this, in 2019, the authorities intervened in the Schofield case. The children were taken away by the guardianship authorities and placed in a shelter until all the circumstances of the incident were clarified. Most likely, Susan will soon be charged with child abuse, but now both Bodie and Janie's parents and all people close to their family are forbidden to disclose the details of the case.
