The Italian sculptor Jago Jacopo Cardillo is called a modern Michelangelo. The master considers this comparison to be the highest recognition of his skill. Once, back in his school years, Iago admired the creations of the Renaissance genius, and today he himself is compared to a great countryman. There are no exaggerations and flattery here — the marble in Cardillo's hands is as malleable as clay, and the result of the work is so realistic that it is difficult to believe in its man-made nature.

For the first time, Cardillo's talent was talked about in 2009, when the 22-year-old sculptor presented a sculpture of Pope Benedict XVI to the audience. And three years later, in 2012, Iago was awarded his first solo exhibition.
