In Brussels, monuments are decorated with floral beards and wigs
By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/in-brussels-monuments-are-decorated-with-floral-beards-and-wigs.htmlIn the warm season in Brussels, you can find unusual monuments with moustaches, beards and wigs made of flowers. These compositions are created by the florist Geoffroy Mottar. He explains that he always liked to walk, not knowing what was waiting around the corner, look at old sculptures and buildings and imagine what their creator wanted to say.
Mottar tells: "I realized that more and more people do not pay attention to our cultural heritage and just pass by these monuments of the past. Working as a florist gives me the opportunity to breathe new life into forgotten statues that no longer attract passers-by. I show that the streets of cities can still surprise, intrigue and fascinate people."

The florist takes measurements from the desired sculpture, creates a base at home and attaches flowers to it, and then puts it on the monument in full view of passers-by.
