Categories: Europe | Nature

In the warm season in Brussels, you can find unusual monuments with moustaches, beards and wigs made of flowers. These compositions are created by the florist Geoffroy Mottar. He explains that he always liked to walk, not knowing what was waiting around the corner, look at old sculptures and buildings and imagine what their creator wanted to say.

Mottar tells: "I realized that more and more people do not pay attention to our cultural heritage and just pass by these monuments of the past. Working as a florist gives me the opportunity to breathe new life into forgotten statues that no longer attract passers-by. I show that the streets of cities can still surprise, intrigue and fascinate people."
