This happened on September 14, 1977. According to Joyce, Kirk, when he saw her, was incredibly happy and immediately got into the car to follow his beloved. However, the Mormon himself told a completely different story: a man approached him and, threatening him with a gun, ordered him to follow him. When he got into the car, they put him to sleep with chloroform, and he woke up in a house.

And in the cozy love nest, everything was already ready for the welcome guest. Favorite dishes, drinks, a luxurious bed. And so that the guest did not suddenly decide to leave this "paradise", he was handcuffed with a long chain.

Joyce McKinney warned her chosen one that he would stay here for one, two or three months until he became pregnant. After three days of lovemaking, the exhausted Kirk vowed to marry Joyce. The woman believed and released the prisoner.
