At the end of each year, Forbes publishes a ranking of the richest celebrities in the United States. The distribution of seats takes into account the income of the stars' companies and the value of their real estate and art objects. According to the approved rules, only US citizens who "got rich because of their fame, and did not become famous because of their wealth," can get into the coveted list.

The first in 2017 was director George Lucas, who in 2012 sold his company Lucasfilm for $ 4.05 billion to the conglomerate The Walt Disney Company along with the rights to the fantastic saga "Star Wars".
