From single mother to Princess - the incredible story of Mette-Marit

Now Mette-Marit is the wife of the heir to the Norwegian throne, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon, and she herself holds the title of Crown Princess of Norway. But in her youth, a woman could not even imagine that such a future awaited her. She took drugs, led a debauched lifestyle, worked as a waitress, and in her spare time hung out at rock concerts. Mette-Marit was born into an ordinary Norwegian family. Her father was a journalist and her mother was an office worker. Besides her, there were three other children in the family. And later, when his parents divorced and his father married a stripper, they had another half-brother.

As a teenager, she was fond of volleyball and was an activist of a local youth club. Then the girl, as often happens, turned the wrong way: she began to be interested in parties, alcohol, illegal drugs. The girl worked part-time as a waitress, and in her spare time she had fun at rock concerts.

At that time, Mette-Marit wore a short haircut, smoked, drank and generally led a frivolous lifestyle.

By the age of 23, she had a child, but this did not particularly affect the life of the future princess. We can say that everything only got worse: the baby's father left her alone, so now with the help of drugs and alcohol, Mette-Marit tried to drown out resentment and loneliness.

In the late 90s, Mette-Marit visited another rock party. It was the largest Quart festival in Norway, at which, by coincidence, Crown Prince Haakon was also present at that moment. Even then, His Highness drew attention to a long-legged, flighty blonde, but their paths diverged.

They met again a couple of years later, at the same festival. But this time, real feelings flared up between Mette-Marit and her future husband.

In 1999, the couple began living in a rented apartment in Oslo. Fortunately, Haakon has a wonderful relationship with two-year-old Marius. And everything was fine until the press found out about the prince's affair…

Journalists have unearthed the dirtiest details from the past of the chosen heir to the throne. Is it worth saying that Haakon's parents opposed the marriage?
