French artist fixes ugly graffiti
By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/french-artist-fixes-ugly-graffiti.htmlGraffiti can be a work of art or simply ugly writing. For example, tagging - most people would agree that this is the most obnoxious street art. And the most annoying thing is that it is almost always impossible to read.
French artist Mathieu Tremblin decided to correct these scribbles. On top of the incomprehensible inscriptions, he draws his tagging, beautiful, neat, and most importantly, readable.
French street artist Mathieu Tremblin was born in Le Mans in 1980. However, he now lives and works in another French city called Strasbourg. At one time, the artist received a specialized education in the field of fine arts. Later, he was the founder of several French and international street artist collaborations. So the name of Mathieu Tremblin is known far beyond the borders of France.
This series of his works is called “Tag Clouds”. Its essence lies in the accessible transformation of intricate tags of street artists and crooked inscriptions of pseudo-artists who spoil the walls with their squiggles into familiar font inscriptions. The artist simply decided to show the true essence of the messages, which not everyone can even read.
