From April 1 to May 31, a museum dedicated to the phenomenon of self-portrait will be open in Los Angeles. The museum will have several expositions: one will present the history of the genre of self—portrait for 40 thousand years, the second — the work of modern photographers and artists, and the third - extreme selfies, when the authors risk their lives for the sake of shooting. The museum was opened by Tahir Mammadov, Tommy Honton and Abylai Zhakashov.

On the exhibition's website, its creators answer a frequently asked question: do selfies really need a museum?

"Whether you love selfies or hate them, you will never look at them the way you used to," the organizers promise. Admission to the exhibition costs $ 25.
