The jury of the international competition Sony World Photography Awards announced the names of the finalists of 2016. The best works were selected in three main categories: "Professionals", "Young Photographers" and "Open nomination". The final shortlist included pictures of 270 authors from 60 countries.

In addition to the title of Photographer of the Year, the winner of the first place among professionals will also receive a cash prize of $ 25,000, and the winner of the "Open nomination" - $ 5,000.

The names of the winners will be announced by the jury during the Sony World Photography Awards Gala Ceremony, which will be held on April 21 in London.
