By Vika https://pictolic.com/article/examples-of-the-most-unusual-taxis-10-photos.htmlIn many countries and cities, a taxi is not just a yellow car with checkers, but a whole culture. It is these unusual examples of taxis that are collected here to surprise you ...
10 PHOTOS
1. Trishaw
It looks like a tricycle with a sidecar in the back. This type of taxi is especially popular in China, Japan, India, and other eastern countries. A person behind the wheel can ride tourists for hours, working as a taxi driver or tour guide.
2. Air taxi
This type of taxi has long established itself in Brazil. Small planes and helicopters fly here as transport. In many countries of the world, air transport is beginning to gain momentum not only for private but also for public purposes. Brazil was the first of these countries. More recently, Uber even launched its air taxi there.
3. Mototaxi
On such taxis, no traffic jams are for sure! In Thailand, this type of taxi has long gained popularity. Motorcycle taxis are called motosai there and you can catch them almost everywhere. The only disadvantage of such transport is the impossibility of transporting heavy and oversized cargo, but in general .... a very good alternative to cars.
4. Zootaxi
Unfortunately, the taxi services we are used to do not always have a positive attitude towards the transportation of dogs, cats, and other animals in the cabin of their cars. It was for this purpose that zootaxi was invented. Now a trip to a veterinary clinic, a hotel for dogs, or just a park is not a problem at all!
5. Velotaxi
The most environmentally friendly mode of transport that you can think of. So what if the speed of this transport is only 25 km / h? For that, no traffic jams will be scary for you! Such taxis are quite popular in many cities in Europe, and not only: Berlin, Tokyo, Frankfurt am Main. We hope that soon this type of taxi will reach us.
6. Donkey taxi
In some countries, such as Spain, Azerbaijan, or even Greece, donkey taxis are quite a popular way to get around. In these countries, you can easily meet such a "taxi driver" in the middle of the street and ask him to take you to your desired destination.
7. Sea taxi
In seaside resorts and port cities, this type of taxi (both personal and route) is very popular. And let it be a bit expensive, for that such a boat will take you to your destination with a breeze.
8. Gondolas
Another type of sea taxi is a little more sophisticated. Although, in Venice, this method of transportation is considered quite familiar and everyone uses gondolas there without exception!
9. Knock Knock
In this collection, we have already mentioned the rickshaw. Knock-knock is almost the same. The main difference is that instead of bicycle pedals, there is a moped engine. This type of taxi is the most popular in Thailand.
10. Truck taxi
In poor countries, instead of taxis, you can often find trucks full of people and things. Unfortunately, such a "taxi" is the only way for locals to get to the market or to go about their business.
