The New York Public Library has posted a collection of photographs taken by the American photographer August Sherman in the period from 1902 to 1914 on its Flickr photo hosting blog. They depict migrants who have arrived in the United States.

A collection of archival photographs was found in the documents of William Williams, who at the beginning of the twentieth century worked as an immigration commissioner in the New York port on Ellis Island.
