Evolution of Picasso's self-portrait: from 15 to 90 years

But if you trace the history of Picasso's self-portraits from the time when he was still a young artist to his very late age, you will notice that they have a lot in common, and it is obvious that these portraits were created by the same person.
To explain such differences, here is a quote from the author of the paintings: “The different styles that I use in my art should not be seen as evolution or steps towards an unknown painting ideal ... Different themes inevitably require different ways of expression. This is not evidence of evolution or progress, these are just ideas expressed in different ways. "
