Valery Slauk (Slavuk) was born in 1947. After school he entered the Belarusian State Theater and Art Institute, which he graduated in 1977.
The main direction of Valery Slauk’s work is book graphics. Today, the artist is considered one of the country's best illustrators in its entire history.
The master's paintings are kept in the National Art Museum, the funds of the Belarusian Union of Artists, in private collections, museums in Austria, Italy, and Germany.
Valery is a very versatile artist. But most of all he is fascinated by the topic of Belarusian and Slavic mythology.
