Endless Summer: The Nomadic Life of the Ravers of the 1990s
By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/endless-summer-the-nomadic-life-of-the-ravers-of-the-1990s.htmlIn 1994, after unauthorized raves were legally banned in the UK, the most desperate party-goers in England rushed to Europe in search of new, free parties.
London photographer and squatter Tom Hunter and his friends were part of this movement and decided to go to a techno festival in the Czech Republic in an old minivan. As a result, the company spent two years on the road, abandoning the generally accepted lifestyle. Friends stopped at all the raves they met and existed on the money earned from the sale of vegetarian burgers.
After almost 30 years, Hunter's photographs are still relevant, and the feeling of freedom in them is completely timeless.
