Ed van der Elsken: love, sex, art and jazz
By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/ed-van-der-elsken-love-sex-art-and-jazz.htmlThe work of Dutch photographer and filmmaker ed van der Elsken (1925-1990) was built around his many years of travels and the characters he met on his way. He was born in Amsterdam and, in fact, learned everything on their own. In his apparently rough work less than the traditional technique and composition, and more of the atmosphere of the places and people that he shot.
Pictures of ed van der Elsken reflect a casual, intimate and autobiographical moments of European life after the Second world war and in the 1970s, combining love, sex, art, jazz and alternative culture.
