After seeing his father kill his mother, a frightened four-year-old John Ssebunia fled into the jungle, where the vervet tribe adopted him into their family. The boy was forgotten by people and lived among the monkeys for three whole years, until in 1991 he was accidentally found by a woman from one village who was looking for food in the jungle. As often happens in such cases, the child did not want to be taken away from the foster family, and strongly resisted, and the monkeys defended him by throwing sticks at people.

Subsequently, John managed to learn how to speak and even sing: he toured very successfully with the children's choir "Pearl of Africa".

2. Natasha, who lived with dogs for two years

In 2009, a girl Natasha was found in Chita, who moved on all fours, lapped the water with her tongue and barked. For two years the child lived with animals.

The police found Natasha alone in a locked room with cats and dogs. There was no heating, no water, no toilet in the room. When the girl was found, she could not speak, but only jumped on the door and scratched it like a dog. According to the inspectors, Natasha behaved like an animal.

Her father, Victor Lozhkin, 27, and mother, Yana Mikhailova, 25, had no contact with the girl for two years. Both of them were deprived of parental rights and arrested.

In 2007, employees of a hospital in the Kaluga region accidentally discovered a child in a hole made of twigs and leaves. The doctors were discouraged by the sight of the boy and his animal habits, and especially by overgrown nails, sharp teeth and a wolf's gait.

The boy was named Lyosha, he looked about ten years old, but where he came from and who his mom and dad are is still unknown, because after spending a day in the hospital, Lyosha escaped. Most agree that the parents simply threw the child to the wolves, not caring about his future fate.

In 2012, an emaciated wild boy named Sasha was found in the Rostov region. His mother Marina left the child with the goats and did not appear for several years. Sasha cannot speak, eat or use the toilet. “When we found the child, the mother was not there,” social workers said. “Sasha played and slept with the goats who lived with him in the same room.”

When they found him, Sasha weighed three times less than an ordinary child of his age and refused to sleep in a crib, trying to crawl under it. He was very afraid of adults.

In 2004, a wild boy was found in a remote part of Siberia, who had been raised by dogs for more than seven years. The child's mother disappeared when he was only three months old, leaving the care of his son to an alcoholic father, who also disappeared soon after.

Andrei Tolstykh was discovered by social workers when he was already seven years old. After spending so much time without human contact, the child could not speak and adopted many dog habits: in particular, biting people and sniffing food before eating.

When Andrei was first brought to the shelter, he behaved very aggressively, however, the child was able to communicate with the help of some gestures. Two weeks later, the boy began to learn to walk on two legs, use a spoon, make a bed, and even play with a ball.
