Beauty Huanlun

Huanglong is located in the North-Western part of Sichuan province in China, 50 kilometers North-Northwest of the provincial capital of Chengdu. This picturesque area is studded with colorful pools of limestone formations, snow-capped mountains, a variety of forest ecosystems, waterfalls and hot springs. Here also home to rare animals including pandas and roxellanae of rhinopithecus.

The main beauty Huanlun focused on the segment of the same valley with a length of 3.6 km, which includes the snow-capped peaks, and the glaciers in Eastern China.

Because of its complex pattern of layered calcium carbonate valley, reminiscent of the Golden dragon writhing among effective forest and stone of the mountains.

Throughout the valley there are many colorful ponds in different shapes and sizes with a Golden shade that glistens in the sun.

From this came the name of the Huanglong valley, which translates as "Valley of the Yellow Dragon."

Millennium geological evolution formed a Dragon and its many unique landscapes that we see today.

Glacial revolution, the structure of the earth, a layer of stone with the carbon dioxide, foda and climatic conditions, such as arktiko-Alpine sun made this such a popular landscape. One of the greatest local features is the Deposit of calcite.

Algae and bacteria have grown in these ponds, which led to such a variety of shades of orange, yellow, green and blue. Also, there are karst formations, as long limestone mass and the so-called Golden beaches.

The active layer of limestone covered with a thin layer of constantly flowing water. Huanglong attracted the attention of people since ancient times.

In ponds Yu at the entrance to the valley are two small stone pagoda. During the Ming Empire (1368-1644) was built there (one by one) three temples, which attracted a large number of believers. Much of the landscape in this valley is very important to Tibetan religion, culture and folklore.

Valley associated with many legends. Because of the diverse forest ecosystems, there appeared the Huanglong nature reserve, declared in 1992, a place of cultural heritage of UNESCO.
