Bach, Roosevelt and other historical figures who married relatives

In the old days, marrying a member of your own family was the norm. But did you know that even Queen Elizabeth married a relative?

In 1906, Stravinsky, despite the protests of his family, married his cousin Ekaterina Nosenko.

Two sons were born in the family.

In 1707, Bach married his cousin Maria Barbara.

They had seven children, three of whom died in childhood. Maria died after 13 years of marriage.
