Austrian Christmas story. Night lights of St. Gilgen

Categories: Europe | Travel

The Christmas atmosphere of Austria is felt in every city. And in order to feel a real holiday, we went to St. Gilgen, which is located on the northwestern shore of Lake Wolfgangsee near Strobl and Upper Austria, right at the foot of the Zwelferhorn mountain.

The city is famous for the fact that in 1720 the mother of the musical genius Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born and lived there! The locals are very proud of this and even call themselves the "Mozart Village" (Mozart-Dorf) and every Christmas they play his best works throughout the city.

Life is a holiday, and Christmas is a fairy tale. If you love fairy tales as much as I do and want to recharge your batteries with a wonderful Christmas mood, this post is just for you! Listen to the amazing melodies of Mozart's music in these fabulous and sparkling streets.
