We are already used to the fact that modern art is very often strange, but some artists manage to stand out even against this background. The works of the Brazilian sculptor Monica Piloni (Monica Piloni) balance on a fine line between sexy and disgusting. Whether it's fruits with fish skeletons or naked women disassembled into pieces, her works leave disturbing and uncomfortable feelings.

Monica herself explains her creations as follows: "My art is somewhat painful and contains a lot of symbols and styles stored in our subconscious. These styles and symbols are what we ultimately give back to the environment in our either real or abstract existence."
