The mansion with seven bedrooms, five bathrooms, three kitchens, three living rooms and even a ballroom is surrounded by groves of orange, lemon, olive and fig trees, an ancient walled garden, a chapel and a mosaic pool.
And this whole Italian dream can become the property of anyone who buys a ticket for two pounds sterling (156 rubles) and answers the question.
The family decided to sell the estate after several happy years, but no acceptable purchase offers were received for a year. Glenville agreed to organize a lottery drawing of the mansion.
Mark Glenville and his now ex-wife Julia Melinek bought the Masseria Terra di Marina estate in 2010.
The couple, who were opera singers in the past, restored the mansion, spent family vacations there, arranged weddings and holidays. Their daughter Francesca was even baptized in the adjacent church.
In 2012, the couple separated, and in early 2017, Glenville put the property up for sale.
However, despite the excellent condition of the house and a lot of views on the real estate sale site, the former opera singer could not find a buyer. Therefore, he agreed to his son's offer to play the estate in a lottery.
In total, 575 thousand tickets are sold at a price of two pounds sterling — the winner will receive the keys to the estate. All legal costs will also be paid.
"Our family has been living in the Italian dream for several years. Now we want to give the opportunity to as many people as possible to get the same invaluable experience. We didn't want to just hand over the property to some old millionaire. Together with this magnificent house in sunny Italy, we wanted to give someone a chance, for example, to start their own business."
"We made sure that all local legal expenses and taxes were paid, so that the winner had only one thing left — to fly here. This is a wonderful house and an ideal place for a family holiday."
The drawing began in November and will last until April 30.
