An artist has drawn a treasure map and hidden friendly giants in the forests of Copenhagen
By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/an-artist-has-drawn-a-treasure-map-and-hidden-friendly-giants-in-the-forests-of-copenhagen.htmlFor the past three years, Danish artist Thomas Dumbo has been creating huge sculptures from recycled materials. And recently, he hid six friendly giants all over Copenhagen in the hope of drawing people's attention to the unknown places of his hometown.
The artist is assisted by local volunteers. Sculptures are created from wooden pallets, dismantled sheds and old fences. Each giant is named after one of the volunteers. "These creatures invite you to go on a treasure hunt, not just to look at the sculptures, to find and see the secret treasures in nature."
Each piece interacts with its environment. For example, Teddy Friendly, whose creation gave four people a chance to find work, sits near the lake. His hand helps him cross the stream. And Baby Tilde serves as a home for wild animals.
Baby Tilde.
Thomas lives on the mountain.
And Oscar lives under the bridge.
Sleeping Louis.
And Teddy Is Friendly.
On each sculpture there is a poem-a hint where to look for the next giant.
A map that will help you find hidden giants.
A video was made about the project.
