Amazakhs are indigenous light—skinned Africans related to Armenians

It is generally believed that the indigenous population of Africa is people with dark skin or, at least, very dark and dark—haired. But this is not so, because one of the oldest peoples of the Black continent, the Amazons, light-skinned, and sometimes even blondes! This is an amazing ethnic group that has given researchers a lot of riddles. We often call them Berbers, although this is a general and not quite correct definition.

Scientists consider the Amazons to be the indigenous population of Africa. It cannot be otherwise, because traces of this people are found in cultural layers that are more than 15 thousand years old! Nevertheless, few people have heard about the Amazons, because they are called Berbers. But in fact, it is also wrong to call all the inhabitants of the Far North Eskimos.

Berbers are a common name for the peoples inhabiting North Africa. They were united on a common basis — they all converted to Islam in the 7th century. Today, almost all of these people are Sunni Muslims. The Amazahs are only the most numerous people of this group.

Translated from the Kabyle language common among the inhabitants of North Africa, "Amazah" is a noble, free man. This name characterizes them very accurately. Nomads, who valued freedom above all else, have always fought bravely for the right to live as they want. Even the Arabs, who enslaved many peoples, had to negotiate with the Amazons, who did not want to obey.

In the 11th century, the Amazahs, united with several other peoples, created a powerful Almoravid empire. It is located on the territory of modern Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Spain and Portugal. Until North Africa submitted to the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century, the powerful Berber state did not let its less belligerent neighbors relax.

But even as part of the Turkish state, the Amazahs proved themselves to be experienced and ruthless invaders. They are the ones we know as the Algerian pirates who kept Europe at bay from the beginning of the 16th to the middle of the 19th century. Only in 1830, after a significant part of North Africa was colonized by France, the Amazons lost their key role.

Scientists, having conducted numerous studies, have established that Amazons have numerous relatives on the Eurasian continent. Haplogroup E1b1b, which is also called the "marker of Berbers", is found among the peoples of Europe and Western Asia.

Therefore, science ranks the Amazons among the Eurasians and continues to study them closely. Some scientists are more categorical and generally classify Amazahs as Armenoids. This is one of the types of the Balkan-Caucasian group, which is part of the Caucasoid race.

How and when the Amazonian Europeans got to Africa, no one can say yet. But it is known for sure that this people stands out among others. Unlike many other nations that have undergone Islamization, the Amazahs have not abandoned their culture. They successfully combine their ancient pagan customs and rites of Islam.

Nowadays, Amazons live mainly in the mountains and deserts. Some of them live sedentary, in small villages, and some continue to roam, as their ancestors did for centuries. The Amazons are characterized by bright clothes, and their women put tattoos on their faces with symbols-amulets from evil spirits. Since many representatives of this people live in remote and hard-to-reach places, it is difficult to accurately name their number.

Scientists believe that with the total number of Berber peoples of 30 million people, a third are Amazons. Women and children of this people appear in the pictures of journalists, since men have a negative attitude to any of their images. By the way, the Amazons once had relatives in the Canary Islands. The Guanches, exterminated by the Spaniards in the 15th and 16th centuries, were also light-skinned and blue-eyed.
