A politician was accidentally shot dead in Pakistan while celebrating his election victory

It is not known whether Mr. Khan had time to appreciate the festive shooting, since a stray bullet hit the politician and put an end to his life. The SAMAA TV news agency, whose journalists covered the events in the village of Surizai, reported that it was impossible to help Khan — he died instantly. Fortunately, no one else was injured.

In the report from the scene of the event, it was clarified that during the festive shooting on the square near the council of the village of Surizai, the police were present. As is often the case in the province, law enforcement officers preferred not to interfere in the course of events. They simply recorded the fact of the death of Mohammed Zakria Khan — after all, he was a legitimate people's deputy.

Now the residents of Surizai will have to hold elections again. Probably, after the incident with Khan, they will be more careful to express their joy. Or, in extreme cases, they will hide the chosen one in the cellar beforehand. And to be honest, there are too many weapons in the world that end up in random hands.
