The design, designed by architects Hiroshi Nakamura and NAP, received the award as the best eco-friendly building WAN Sustainable Buildings Award 2016 not only for originality, but also for the fact that the building is completely built from garbage. This corresponds to the concept of city development, according to which 100% of garbage should be recycled in a few years. Now this figure in Kamikatsu is about 80%.

The building houses a bar, a brewery, as well as living quarters. In each of them you can find examples of wise reuse of things, including floor tiles or lamps made of glass bottles. This is a really cool design that proves that recycling is not a heavy duty, but an opportunity for creativity.
