6 Moments from the Harry Potter Books that We Would Like to See in Films

A series of films about a young wizard can hardly be considered unsuccessful, and, as is the case with any film adaptation of the book, it was foolish to hope that all the scenes would be included in the film. But there were moments when the filmmakers neglected the books, and it didn't turn out well.

The fight between Mr. Weasley and Mr. Malfoy
For the first time we get acquainted with the character of Malfoy Sr. in the "Secret Room" after a photo shoot of Potter and Lockhart. Lucius was rude to the Weasley children. When Weasley Sr. approaches to find out what the fuss is about, he gets a sharp-tongued Lucius. In the film, Arthur Weasley responds to Malfoy with the same caustic comment. In the book, Weasley hits Malfoy in the face and a fight ensues between them, which marked the beginning of the enmity of the two families.
Peeves
The most obvious case of changing the plot in the Harry Potter films is the ghost of Peeves, or rather, his absence in the film adaptation. This poltergeist was distinguished by the fact that he constantly played and scared everyone, whether it was students, teachers or even other ghosts. He often appeared in books, but not in films. The worst part is that the scenes with this character were filmed, but cut out of the film at the last minute.
Professor Snape's task
The Philosopher's Stone was one of the greatest magical objects ever created. That's why it took the most brilliant minds to guard it. The professors at Hogwarts created such a powerful and rigid system that almost no one could get the stone.
The most notable of these trials was a potion puzzle created by Professor Snape. Instead of using magic, ingenuity was needed to solve the problem. And Hermione succeeded. But they didn't use this scene in the film.
The Elder Weasley Brothers
Due to the large number of characters in the Harry Potter books, it was assumed that many would be cut out. Unfortunately, some of them were favorite characters in the books: Percy, Bill and Charlie Weasley. These three brothers had a great influence on the Harry Potter universe. We had to see how some fall in love, others attack werewolves and much more.
Percy appears in the first two films, but disappears pretty quickly. The film adaptation also showed the wedding of Bill Weasley and Fleur Delacour, but without any development.
Elderberry Stick
The most powerful wand belonged to Dumbledore and was buried with him. In the end, Voldemort appropriated her to himself because he thought that he was her master. Although in fact the owner of the wand was Harry Potter.
After the final battle in the book, Harry did not take the elder wand for himself, but returned it to Dumbledore's tomb. In the film, Harry breaks his wand in half and throws it off the bridge into the water.
Voldemort's Death
Probably the biggest deviation from the book plot in the film is connected with the death of Voldemort. In the film adaptation, the battle takes place outside the school. When Potter disarms the Dark Lord, he simply disappears into thin air.
In the book, the plot unfolds differently. The battle took place in the Great Hall: wizards and death eaters fought on tables and in the aisles. Voldemort came into the hall and met Potter. The Dark Lord attacked Harry with an Avada Kedavra, while Potter countered with a good old Expelliarmus. The unforgivable spell boomeranged back to its sender, and the Dark Lord fell lifeless to the floor.
