Sade, real name Helen Folashade Adu, was born in 1959 in Ibadan, Nigeria, but grew up in English Essex. Sade is considered one of the most successful British artists in history, having influenced modern music.

In the early 80s, the girl met Lee Barrett, the manager of the Latin soul group Arriva. She joined the band and started writing her own songs. And two years later she organized her own group named after herself. In addition to the vocalist, the Sade group includes three more people.

She released her first album, Sade, in 1984. After that, there were dozens of hits - from Smooth Operator to Paradise, on which everyone who somehow caught the nineties grew up and formed. 

Long before her dizzying musical career, Sade Adu studied at the famous London College of Fashion Central Saint Martins, and her love of fashion was expected to manifest itself in her unique style, which was actively copied in the 80s.

Sade's interests have always extended far beyond music: she acted in films and was a model, and after graduating from the famous Central Saint Martins College, she opened her own small brand, in which she was responsible for men's collections.
