This year more than 48 thousand works of photographers from 156 countries of the world participated in the competition. The jury selected the winners in eleven nominations: the awarding of the authors took place on October 31 in the Italian city of Siena. "Victim of the battle", the best photo of the year, the main prize of the contest and the title of "Photographer of the Year" went to the Bangladeshi author K. M. Asad, who took a portrait of a Rohingya girl.
