Evena, who is also called "Aunt Evie", lives in a nursing home in the town of Crowcrook (County of Tyne and Wear, Great Britain). Although she voiced her wish, she still did not believe that it would come true until she saw a real firefighter climbing into her window on the third floor, about to present a sponge cake to the birthday girl.
"She has a fantastic sense of humor. This year she wanted a tattooed firefighter for her birthday, last year she asked us to climb a tree. She constantly asks for something that is difficult for us to do," said Debra Carter, an employee of the nursing home.
Well, it's great when people at such an advanced age know what they want and have a great sense of humor.
