Uncontrolled sexuality in the paintings Vani Zhuravleva
Asian girls, demons and werewolves, old women in Russian headdresses Russian beauties with innocent faces — the world of the artist Vania Zhuravlev though monochrome, but an incredibly diverse and interesting. There is horror and erotica, mysticism and Eastern wisdom, a dense darkness and dazzling light.
Ivan Zhuravlev draws from early childhood and this is not surprising because everyone in his family is somehow connected with fine art. The first international recognition came to the van to an artist at the age of 13, when was organized the first exhibition of paintings abroad. Already being recognized in many countries, Zhuravlev graduated from the prestigious Edinburgh College, and then decided not to return to Russia and today lives and works in London.

Zhuravleva's work is closely intertwined with the graphics of the Silver age, Japanese prints Ukiyo-e and is very similar to the paintings of Ivan Bilibin. The similarity with the great Russian artist and Illustrator, first and foremost, in the accentuated decorativeness of procrasinate paintings of Vani, in which, though not peculiar to Bilibin bright colors, but enough folk elements and thoroughly designed patterns.
A picture of Wani are erotic stories. When the artist asked about why he pays special attention to sexuality, he says simply:
