Tragic parallels: 8 actors who repeated the fate of their screen characters
What films predicted the development of the relationship between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt? Why did David Duchovny have to go to the clinic after the release of "Lascivious California"? And how did Nonna Mordyukova survive the most terrible shooting in her life, the plot of which was exactly repeated 19 years later?
Before shooting the next film, professional actors do a lot of work, "getting used" to a new role — after all, they will have to make not only an external reincarnation, but also an internal one. But is it so easy to completely "get out" of the role and say goodbye to your character when the work is completed?
Angelina and Brad were considered one of the most beautiful Hollywood couples. Twice they appeared together on the big screen, acting out the stories of characters connected by romantic relationships. And surprisingly, these films turned out to be prophetic for the couple themselves.
In 2005, the action movie "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" was released about the difficult life of a married couple of killers who unite against the whole world (represented by powerful firms that hired them) to protect each other and their marriage. It was after this film that Angelina and Brad began an affair in real life: they really had to prove that everything was serious between them, because fans could not forgive Brad Pitt for a long time parting with Jennifer Aniston.
Ten years later, they reappeared in the same film-the drama "Cote d'Azur". But this time their characters were experiencing a relationship crisis. In real life, Angelina and Brad also began to move away from each other. A year later, the actress filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.
At the dawn of his acting career, in 1998, Konstantin Khabensky appeared in the film "Women's Property". He got the role of a young entrant of the theater institute, who falls in love with a famous actress (and concurrently, a member of the admissions committee). But their suddenly formed romantic relationship is interrupted by a drama — a woman dies of cancer. The young man is hard going through her departure, loses his footing and the meaning of life.
A few months after "Women's Property" was released, Konstantin Khabensky met a woman whom he sincerely loved — she became a journalist named Anastasia. In 2000, they got married and began to live together in a modest Moscow apartment. Seven years later, their son Vanya was born.
But immediately after the happy event, terrible news fell on the young parents — doctors found a brain tumor in Anastasia. The fight against the disease was not crowned with success, and in 2008, the beloved Anastasia Khabensky died. This tragedy shocked the actor. To this day, he carefully preserves the memory of his first wife and is engaged in the affairs of the foundation that helps children with cancer and other serious diseases.
This charismatic Hollywood actor became famous thanks to the series "The X-Files", the first season of which was released back in 1993. And 14 years later, David Duchovny was offered the main role in the new multi-part project "Lascivious California", which also gained incredible popularity. In it, the actor turned into a writer named Hank Moody, who slowly but surely sinks to the very bottom, getting bogged down in the abyss of alcohol and forbidden sex.
Some time later, information leaked to the media that the actor also suffers from similar addictions in real life. He tried to overcome sex addiction and alcohol addiction in a specialized clinic, but this did not help save David Duchovny's marriage. In 2014, he and his wife divorced, having issued joint custody of two children.
Soviet actor Leonid Bykov earned the audience's love thanks to his participation in such films as "Only old men go into battle", "Maxim Perepelitsa" and "Alyoshkina's Love". And in 1976, the film "At-bats, soldiers were walking" was released, in which he played the role of Corporal Viktor Svyatkin, heroically dying under the tracks of a German tank. This work was the last for the talented actor.
Three years later, Leonid Bykov was returning from his dacha at the wheel of his Volga . A tractor was driving slowly in front of him, and the actor decided to overtake him. However, the wide tracks of the agricultural machine almost touched Bykov's car, because of which he was forced to turn "into the oncoming lane". The dangerous maneuver led to a sudden head-on collision with a truck. Even the seat belt could not save the actor from the strongest blow: Leonid Bykov died on the spot from his injuries.
Subsequently, the artist's daughter said that her father had a premonition of his death. He wrote about it to friends and even planned his own funeral. And once he left a note to his daughter, which ended with a terrible phrase:
In 2013, the American comedy-drama series "Orange is the hit of the Season"premiered on Netflix. For the sake of participating in this project, actress Taryn Manning (you may also remember her from the role of the beloved of the hero Eminem in "8 Mile") had to completely modify her appearance: make-up artists inserted dentures imitating rotten fangs, and brought her hair into a complete mess.
But all the efforts and sacrifices paid off in full — the actress managed to brilliantly transform into a scandalous drug addict Tiffany "Pensatukki" Doggett, who is characterized by wild outbursts of aggression. That's just, apparently, after the shooting, Taryn never came out of this image. In 2016, makeup artist Holly Hartman sued the actress. She showed signs of beatings, stating that Taryn had beaten her several times. However, the actress ' lawyers managed to hush up this case.
It is scary to imagine how the Soviet actress Nonna Mordyukova "got used" to the role of Fedosya Ugryumova in the film "Russian Field", because according to the plot, her heroine had to survive the death of her child, played by the real son of the actress — Vladimir Tikhonov.
Mordyukova recalled:
19 years later, Nonna Mordyukova again went to her son's funeral, only this time - in real life. Vladimir died at the age of 40 from heart failure caused by years of taking drugs and alcohol.
British actress Michelle Dockery became widely known after the release of the TV series "Downton Abbey", in which she played the role of an arrogant aristocrat-egoist Mary Crowley. Her heroine marries a young lawyer from Manchester named Matthew, who one day becomes the heir to Downton Abbey.
Despite the fact that their relationship has experienced quite a few ups and downs, Mary and Matthew's family life turns out to be quite happy. Soon the girl gives birth to a child. However, the father of the baby was not destined to see his son grow up: Matthew crashed his car when he was rushing home to his family.
Actress Michelle Dockery, like her heroine, survived the death of a loved one. Her young fiance, John Dinin, died after several years of struggling with a serious illness.
