30th steel British capital a time of great change: the city finally switched from gas lighting to electric, horse-drawn carriages gave way to cars. The city authorities tried to make London a cleaner, more modern and more efficient. At a time when Europe flourished and crepe fascism on the streets of London was harsh clashes between supporters of fascism and their opponents. By the end of the decade, it became clear that war with Germany is inevitable. In Britain massively arrived German Jews who fled from the horrors of the Nazi regime, and in London started preparing for the evacuation of children. Ahead of the Londoners were waiting for war and a massive bombing of the British capital, which lasted for 57 nights in a row.

But collected in this edition, the pictures people do not suspect anything about the impending war with Nazi Germany, nor about the horrors of bombing. Pre-war London lives its normal life on the streets with a special atmosphere.
