The whole world is a theater, and the streets in it are a stage! Spanish photographer Anna Ulman has captured the magnificent emotionality of dance in her works filled with energy and light.
Living in the Spanish city of Marbella, Ullman uses the charming cobbled streets and the coast as an impeccable backdrop and a source of inspiration for the movement of his models.
Sometimes the dancers in her shots merge with the urban environment and perform their graceful actions in ordinary street clothes.
At other times, they put on swimsuits and pointe shoes and go to the seashore.
Sand plays the role of a partner in the dance, highlighting the subtlety and dynamism of movements.
Ullman says he gets special inspiration from shooting dancers. One day she saw a picture of a ballerina dancing in the middle of the street online.
Anna was so in love with the aesthetics of street ballet that she realized that photography and dance were created for each other.
The photographer believes that in such a shoot it is important to plan and think through everything to the smallest detail, but always leave room for randomness and spontaneity.
