The first esports school is going to open in Japan
Already in 2022, Japanese high school students will have the opportunity to continue their studies at an esports school. This specialized educational institution has become a joint project of the telecommunications giant NNT and the esports team owned by the Tokyo Verdy football club.
A new school will open in Tokyo's trendy Shibuya district. It is well known to tourists as the place where the busiest intersection of the planet Shibuya 109 is located. On the web, you can already see photos of the school's interiors, which are made in a spectacular industrial style.
To complete the classes with equipment, 40 new Galleria XA7C-R37 computers equipped with Intel Core i7-11700 processors and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 video cards were purchased. It is not yet known exactly which computer games will be included in the esports school program. It can be assumed that these will be first- and third-person shooters, as well as MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena).
Teachers of different profiles will teach at the school. To work with teenagers, it is planned to attract well-known esports players, as well as other representatives of the gaming industry. There will also be simple teachers there. The school program will include not only games — students will take a regular school course in parallel. There are even individual programs for laggards.
The cyber school's website says that its graduates will be able to find themselves in a variety of fields. They can turn out to be game writers, VR YouTubers, programmers, designers, streamers, gamers and other necessary specialists. In January 2022, the school in Shibuya plans to hold an open day. She invites everyone to attend the event and learn more about the school and its program. Perhaps, at the same time, the price of training will be announced, which is still modestly silent.
