No wine, no cheese, no frog legs: how simple Frenchmen have fun
On a large field in Northern France, not far from the Belgian border, members of one of the local car clubs regularly gather. They arrange a kind of rally of cars converted into racing, the so-called "car rodeo". The budget of the event is limited, the track consists of mud a little more than completely, and the homemade "cars" look like they will fall apart from any sneeze. And at the same time, few people participate in the race for the sake of victory, because the cash prize is not too big.

Source: vice.comDuring the races, free drinks are distributed, children rush around like crazy, a merciless stream of hits from the 80s plays from every iron, and at the same time you will not see a single advertising banner. However, the main attention of the participants is still focused on the competition. French photojournalist Eduard Sapulcr made a photo report about one of the recent "rodeos".
Many people participate in the rally with their whole families.
A common cause unites and helps to create a friendly atmosphere through joint work.
However, some members of family teams prefer to cool off with a bottle of beer, without taking any part in the preparation of "cars".
Father and son check the car before the start.
And why not make a teenage son a navigator?
Apparently, it is not forbidden to drink while driving here.
There are also some pretty tough collisions.
Nowhere without rubber boots.
And these guys have big competitions ahead of them.
