Nicole Kidman in December 1983
Nicole Mary Kidman was born on June 20, 1967 in Honolulu. When she was four years old, her parents returned to Australia, and the younger Kidman spent most of her childhood in Sydney.
Nicole's acting career was pushed by Margaret Hamilton, who played the Wicked Witch of the West in the movie "The Wizard of Oz". Hamilton's work in the film so impressed the young Kidman that Nicole went to acting courses, despite her natural shyness.
At the Phillip Street Theater, Kidman honed her skills with her high school friend Naomi Watts. After a while, she moved to the Australian Youth Theater and in 1983 received her first role in Henry Safran's Christmas in the Bush.
These are the shots from the promos of 16-year-old Nicole for her work in the adventure drama "Bandits on Bicycles".
