Love like an elephant
Elephants love their relatives in the same way as humans — members of the same family are very attached to each other. To communicate, these animals use a variety of visual cues, sounds and touches. After several days of separation, for example, the meeting of elephants from the same family is accompanied by a noisy greeting ceremony. Elephants are extremely excited at the same time: they make loud noises, intertwine their trunks and cross their tusks, clap their ears and all that. There are also cases when elephants took wounded relatives away from danger, supporting them.
These beautiful photos by German photographer Wolf Ademite are about elephant love for each other. It turns out that affectionate and emotional giants know how to rejoice at newborns, and besides, they have some idea of death — and even a kind of farewell ceremony.
