"Look at her nose and glasses": Internet users suspected that Melania Trump has a double
Indefatigable conspiracy theorists claim that the first lady of the United States Melania Trump has a double, who usually appears with Donald Trump at public events with a fake nose and huge sunglasses.
Such statements were showered on social networks on Wednesday, October 18. Critics have enlarged the frame of the shooting of the US president's Friday address to the media about the hurricane in Puerto Rico, which shows the first lady in half-face glasses standing behind her husband.
"This is not Melania. It's hard to imagine that they've gone so far as to try to make us believe that it's her on the screen. I wonder what else they're lying about."
"I'll save you time. It's not her."
During the press conference, Trump highlighted the presence of his wife, although she was standing nearby in full view of the cameras: "My wife, Melania, who is right here."
Actually, this is where conspiracy theorists build their theory about the presence of a double for Melania Trump: they say that the president specifically noted the presence of his wife to hide that in fact she is in a completely different place. They also claim that the first lady is not quite like herself, especially questioning the shape of her nose.
The theory was expressed on Facebook by a certain Andrea Wagner Barton, whose publication has been shared more than 100 thousand times.
The story spread across the Internet at the speed of light, and, as expected, funny memes began to appear.
