From grandmother to girl: a 15-year-old Chinese woman with an old woman's face underwent surgery
A 15-year—old girl, known under the pseudonym Xiao Feng, suffers from progeria - premature aging syndrome. Since childhood, the Chinese woman's face was covered with wrinkles, and she endured sidelong glances and attacks from others. At the end of last month, plastic surgeons volunteered to help the girl and performed an operation that lasted seven and a half hours.
The girl's discharge from the Sunline Plastic surgery clinic in Shenyang became a real show.
The good Samaritans raised 190,000 yuan (more than 1.7 million rubles) to cover Feng's medical bills. The operation took place on December 29, 10 surgeons, three anesthesiologists and five nurses took part in it. The girl had her excess skin removed, the shapes of her nose, eyebrows, and lips changed.

Doctors did not allow the patient to look in the mirror before discharge. Xiao couldn't hold back her tears when she saw her new face.
Xiao's mother thanked the public and doctors for their help
Xiao was born into a low-income family from Heishan County, Liaoning Province. She has no friends, and she has never dared to take a picture of herself. The teenager had to drop out of school because of the attacks of classmates.
The chief doctor of the clinic Shi Lingzhi (pictured) said that the operation cost 500,000 yuan (about 4.5 million rubles) was carried out free of charge, and the funds raised will go to the rehabilitation of the patient.
Xiao suffers from progeria — premature aging syndrome
Progeria is a rare genetic disease that occurs in about one in eight million newborns and causes the body to age prematurely. Xiao inherited the disease from her mother, but it only touched the skin.
