Deception of the century: the oldest woman on the planet could be the daughter of the one she pretended to be
Russian mathematician Nikolai Zak claims to have uncovered the deception of the century. According to his assumptions, the woman who for a long time was considered the oldest on Earth could actually be the 99-year-old daughter of the one she pretended to be, deceiving the whole world.
The name of the Frenchwoman Jeanne Calment (Jeanne Calment) thundered in all the media when there was a message about her death in 1997. At that time she was 122 years and 164 days old. But the academician claims that her daughter Yvonne, who began impersonating her mother after her death in 1934, could have been a long-lived woman.
When Jeanne was born in Arles, Provence, in 1875, the average life expectancy of women was only 48 years. After she managed to live for more than 120 years, she became a very revered person in her native country. In a documentary dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the Frenchwoman, she said that she had waited 110 years to become famous.
However, not everyone was convinced by this fascinating story, and one skeptic decided to get to the truth. Mathematician Nikolai Zak claims to have found many discrepancies. Combing through the databases of cemeteries, the Russian calculated that the possibility of reaching the age of 122 is infinitely small. The scientist explains that statistics show that Jeanne simply could not live so long. He also found it strange that she never mentioned in an interview about the cholera epidemic that devastated Arles in 1884. Nikolai was also interested in why, when moving out of her apartment, a woman asked a relative to burn all her personal belongings. When the Russian mathematician presented his theory to the public, he outraged the whole of France. The scientist suggested that Jeanne's daughter pretended to be her mother because they were similar, and played this role for 60 years. Nikolai states that the information that Yvonne died of pleurisy in the 1930s was also part of a confusing legend. There were even calls to exhume Jeanne's body amid litigation in order not to pay inheritance tax.Nevertheless, many French publications call Nikolai Zak's theory a fake news sponsored by Russia. They are joined by representatives of the French authorities, who say that they have not the slightest doubt about the age of Jeanne Kalman. They indicate that when the woman turned 120 years old, she accurately named facts about people and events that took place in her childhood. In addition, if the assumptions of the Russian mathematician were true, then Zhanna would have to pretend to be her own father's wife.Experts of the World Health Organization believe that the lifestyle that a person leads directly affects not only its quality, but also its duration. They managed to identify 9 useful habits that significantly increase the chances of living to a ripe old age.
