What won't you do for the love of animals? For example, singer Pink, for example, undressed without any problems right in the middle of New York as part of the campaign "It's better to walk naked than to wear fur." This long-running campaign lasted for three decades and many celebrities were exposed thanks to it.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, PETA (English People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) is an organization that positions its activities as fighting for animal rights. For 30 years, she conducted the campaign "It's Better to go Naked Than Wear Fur" ("I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur") against the use of natural fur and the fur industry in general, until she completed it in early 2020. Representatives of the organization reported then that all its goals had been achieved.
PETA, which has been fighting for animal rights since 1980, launched the "I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur" advertising campaign in 1990. It all started with a poster at a concert of The Go Go band, and ended with the placement of photos on the billboards of Times Square during each Fashion Week. Over three decades, dozens of celebrities have participated in it, including Pink, Eva Mendes, Gillian Anderson, Taraji P. Henson and many others. At the beginning of 2020, representatives of the organization announced the end of the campaign due to the fact that significant changes in the fur industry have now become visible.
Matthews also said that PETA will continue to defend animal rights, they plan to focus on the fight against the use of natural wool and leather.
